Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday.  What a day in American sports culture. With over 110 million people watching, all eyes are on the big game.  (As a soccer fan, who is always defending soccer compared to American football, I would like to point out that 1.5 BILLION people watched the 2022 World Cup Final, but that is another conversation...)

For the Super Bowl, a 30 second commercial cost a company $7 million.  Media marketing expert Gary Vaynerchuk, or Gary V,  stands by the belief that if you can deliver a great commercial, it is the best way you can spend several million dollars, simply because of the number of people that will see and interact with your product.  Quite a price to pay for marketing and branding.

As a sports fan, Super Bowl Sunday has always been a fun, memorable day of the year for me.  When I got into real estate, it took on a different meaning.  One of the most inspirational people I have had the pleasure of being around in person is Bob Lucido.  He is the gold standard in real estate in Maryland and across the country.  He said a quote that I will never forget and will always stand out for me on Super Bowl Sunday.  "My favorite day of the year is Super Bowl Sunday.  Because that is when the spring market officially gets underway."  Bob's 40 years of experience in real estate, his track record of success, and his ability to see trends year after year will make you believe a statement like this.

While everybody enjoyed everything leading up to the game, the half time show, and how exciting the game was, I think everybody in real estate is looking forward to what comes after the big game.
